Dr. Mark Cantieri
Dr. Cantieri grew up three doors away from Johnny Carson (after he moved). Just like his former would-be neighbor, he knew early on what he wanted to be (a doctor, not a late-night talk show host). With his passion for medicine in tow, he left his small farming town in southwest Iowa for Creighton University, Des Moines University, and the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery (but not all at the same time). He then headed even further east (to South Bend) to work at Michiana Community Hospital. As a practitioner at TMJ, he focuses on regenerative medicine such as PRP and prolotherapy (and literally wrote the medical textbook on it). If patients are experiencing symptoms such as chronic jaw pain, trouble with chewing, or recurrent headaches, Dr. Cantieri — and his prolotherapy skills — are up to the task.
When he’s not improving the lives of his patients, he’s improving the lives of his family members by playing with his grandchildren, visiting his children out of state, and planning a trip to Ireland and Scotland with his wife. If he had his superpower wish to fly like Superman or run like The Flash, he could travel even more (and save money on airfare).
