Heather Banks, NP

Growing up in the small town of Rensselaer, Indiana, Heather dreamt of becoming a teacher (not too far off from educating patients as a Nurse Practitioner). Her loyal, hilarious, and compassionate qualities led her to join the National Guard as a Medic after high school, and eventually pursue a permanent career in healthcare. Along with RN, BSN, MSN, and FNP-C, Heather is very proud to also hold the titles: mother and grandmother (yeah – she’s basically a superhero). If she were an actual superhero, she’d heal all the hurts of the world (probably while wearing a Cloak of Invisibility).

Heather uses her positivity, passion for helping others, and love of education to care for each patient she encounters in the office. Her path to healing was paved by providers throughout her career who inspired her to listen to her patients, get to the root of the issue, and never stop learning. During an office talent show she’d either show off her skills for line-dancing in reverse or perform a comedy act (which also could involve her version of singing what she likes to call “making a joyful noise”).
